....are we there yet?....

Okay so the third instalment of death (Final Destination 3) may be the first that holly got to see 10 foot high or whatever at the cinema, all be it only with one eye but that doesn’t mean it was her favourite. Now I never really got into it with the first encounter, when I saw it on copied dvd, it wasn’t bad but I could take it or leave it, still can but I liked the 2nd one much more when I finally saw it on dvd it was so much better, helped no end by the discovery of Jonathan Cherry who was class and the PIGEONS!!! Now although the third one has once again PIGEONS briefly and the fantasticness of one mister Kris Lemche it still doesn’t make it go automatically straight up there to first place, though the soundtrack is inspired- rollocoster by the chilis and love train and theirs someone walking behind you or whatever taking over as the freaky tune of the show this time. Its undeniable the deaths where more graphic- the first double bill after the averted crash is just manky to the end!!! And most of the others are at least somewhat cringe inducing but something was just lacking. The only thing I can think of is the fact that the movie doesn’t offer anything new other than more ways to die and make you think twice about doing mundane stuff, at least with the first it was new and then the second linked it to the first, so if a fourth is to come what are they gonna do just link it to the third? Plus because I did like the second it puts added pressure on the third to deliver and it doesn’t, for me. Its not a bad movie and Ring2 girl Wendy is capable enough as the premonition lead with her fellow ring fella Merriman helping her out amicably enough. Though I’m probably biased Lemche is great in his role, bringing a bit of an edge to it which is if they do a fourth where I want it to go and what they could of done with the third to give it something more- I want to see everyone die in someone’s premonition on whatever their next target will be- queuing at the bank, going on a bouncy castle I don’t know anyway yes so loads of people get off and don’t die so death gets pissed and starts killing them off in messier ways- well yes…with a little help from his friends…you get someone to get off and their friend/partner stays on and ends up dying thus their grieving and are like everyone should of died thus they go a little crazy and start killing them off in the order they should of died- death in person if you will then their not just dealing with a supernatural ultimate force or power or whatever they’ve got a crazy guy with a gun (and other weaponary) to contend with!! Mind you holly wanted Sidney to go crazy in the scream franchise and end up being the killer in the last one- come on she would have been screwed up by then she could of easily gone that way!
But yeah so its prequels aside- final destination 3 had good tongue in cheek soundtrack, gruesome deaths and the due united to save the rest formula that worked so well for its predecessors, its got a good youthfull cast to pull off the screaming and the animal meaniness- hello dumbasses at the fair putting the horse right next to the fireworks you freaks!!! And the sisters could pass for being related and though in itself it’s a good enough movie that though it refrences the first of its kind you can see independently and still know whats going on however it offers little more insight into life and death other than the aforementioned trust your instincts and there are signs everywhere that the other 2 movies offered. And though it was probably meant in a homagy way holly didn’t really like the repeativeness to the second one- with the ‘drive responsibley’ truck and the PIGEONS… though I did kind of like the PIGEONS :) I think holly didn’t like it a bit as well cos shed already read about the sunbed experience so that was blown for me and I guessed that it was the lady man in the car in front at the drive in so there was no surprises there and I got that ian was gonna shoot erin- hello its right in the photo although I didn’t get the with a nail gun- but you know it is there- she’s sticking her finger up- that has a nail on it…and I kind of didn’t care if her sister died or not cos we didn’t really know anything about her, I just felt a little…cos there is so many people half of them you don’t give much of a shit about anyway so your just like whatever when they die cos you don’t really know much about them- hello that friend of her sisters who they didn’t know was on it- so just a disposable character! And with the second one referencing the first and flight 180 if the fourth one, if there is one keeps on about it I’m going to kill myself!!...
And though holly’s saying all this there is a large chance she’ll be going to see it again at the cinema to confirm my views and just to see Kris just after he shoots the PIGEONS- its one of those holly likes moments- just his gesture, and on the whole his hair and nails are good in it! :)
and of course to his not the only ginger snaps link in the movie- the guy jason is it that ginger turns (i love it when he walks off with a needle in his neck!) is the boyfriend of the lead girl in this, looking the same but with much better sweeping hair.
And just remember kiddies as Kris Lemche as Ian says in the movie- your more likely to die driving to a theme park than dying on the ride (or whatever), just think your more likely to die driving to the cinema to see a movie about a bunch of kids dying than dying in the movie……right!?……………

Stag Man and Bulbous Bald Boy, The Bubonic Bitch!...aka Howard and Vince

Okay so I’ve had this for a while to put on here and to add to but I want to post it before I see
the guys live because I will no doubt post on what I’m hoping will be their usual greatness then-
and ignore the flashy tashy thing- I haven’t finished it yet thus its not been posted on here so
your not going blind and forgetful after all…

okay so I realised doing that flashy tashy thing (remember I said ignore it!!) that I haven’t mentioned the mighty boosh boys on here- and that my friends is a crying shame!!! the show is rock solid, and though I haven’t been in on it since the beginning- I’m talking the 1990's when they went round doing it live, or when they did the radio show (which i have on cd- and is so great- my 2 most favourite boosh bits come from the first radio show, that so, so sadly didnt make it into the show : ( but when they where first on bbc 3 I caught it, purely by accident - I SOOOOOOOOOO love accidents like that- its how I found kt and other treasures... and so yeah, I recorded an episode of Kingdom Hospital once and got the times mixed up so I recorded the boosh before it and i watched it and (I think…if I remember right…) I pretty much loved it (not as much as I do now I will confess but I was still very fond), though I’ll confess I missed a couple of the episodes of the short series, as I did with the second series too!!! but the dvds out in February- yey yey but it was kinda nice when i got the first one on dvd and watched it- there was still surprises to be had you know :) including a gag reel- holly loooooves gag reels :) it should be a compulsery thing for dvds I tell ya!! and one day I will get my way!!!....but yes basically the basis is 2 guys- Howard Moon- lover of jazz, wearer of a tash, thinker of his pretty great but really isn’t (though he SO is cos I love him!) and Vince Noir, younger (I think), hipper, cooler mod man who has some hair!! and fandabydosey outfits, and cowboy boots a plenty- heeey :) and they work in a zoo, and with each episode they get up to hilarious, some what dangerous shenanigans and adventures!! which thankfully always, at some point require a little song and dance number and some fantastically shoddy dress up and accents/voices, polo anyone? J the only thing holly has issues with is the length of the series- far too short, a series should be like 23 episodes AT LEAST, non of this 7 episodes rubbish- I want more zooniverse for my money! though with the second series they left the zoo.
i have to say when I very first saw it I was immediately all about Howard- hey I got a t-shirt when I was going through my named t-shirt phase- I should get some more of them!... particularly seeing is Vince, like a flesh eating virus has grown on me :) so I want a really flashy totally Noir t-shirt but yes, a kind of mix- a NoLian BarratField/ VinceArd MooNoir (I love that name- MooNoir J ) would be the best of everything but yes I love all the guys in it and Bob Fossil will forever remind me of Har Mar Superstar because of his little I don’t like cricket dance moves. and I have to just say in the second series- Vince/ Noels hair is just fantastic- I want it! its really dark and longish, well longer than it was and just a really nice cut that a girl could wear but suits him just right- I hope his still got it in February.
I have to say, aside from the hair the best bit of the second series has to be the end- no not like that people I looooove the boosh (in an entirely non lesbian way I might add!) but the last episodes- on the deserted island with all the coconut puppets!!! it was just SOOO class and just SO the mighty boosh 'I made her eyes I know which way they where pointed and they were looking at me!' or whatever it is J ahhhhh, ooo yes coconut love....is it right?!?..... who cares it is in the mighty boosh where everything’s right and everything’s wrong!!!....
so everybody come with me now on a journey through time and space to the world of the mighty boosh, and I’ll save you a seat at Sheffield City Hall (your paying though!)...............

...they locked me up here for the ideas in my head....

okay so hollys getting all excited about the immenent walk the line movie about the talented mister johnny cash via the greatness of one mister joaquin phoenix, and of course miss, or rather mrs reese witherspoon is in there too, doing a very good job by all accounts along with award winning phoenix (: but yes i do like the cash's music, thanks to my dad i guess but i will confess i dont know much about him bar his country roots and some form of 'life experience' shall we say- didnt know it was drink and drugs till talk of this movie i have to say but he always did seem a bit weathered, but that comes with age i guess....
the movie- 'walk the line' of course after one of his songs is out on friday february 3rd and hopefully holly will be there for the first viewing cos shes that sad and really getting into it that much!! (: - odeon SO better not screw me on this! or by god the boycott will be a long overdue proper one!!!
ive started doing some art work with photos ive found on the internet relating to it, but i might have to wait till ive seen it for some quotes but ill prob do some with lyrics
i guess i have a bit of a fondness for the old guy as well cos he is germany to me- when i went to berlin in november 2004 (my first trip away alone- i really need to start adding to the list!!...) i basically just spent my time wandering the unknown foreign streets (in straight lines of course!!..) with my headphones on and johnny cash on my minidisc- so he just reminds me of the lone berlin streets- it was nice :) just like impulse 02 or whatever that green bottled one was will forever remind me of my holiday in tunisa when i was at secondry school....
i only wonder what will be the soundtrack to my next trip away.......
after all you need to hear familiar voices you understand when your out and about, be it anyway...

Lessons In Prepper Spray One, Two ...and Three....

okay so i should say now i wrote this post on friday

well the fantasticness that is jason lee is about to be on channel 4 in the new tv show- my name is earl- cos lord knows its all about the tv shows these days but will it be any good is the question
okay so i wrote that seconds before i ran off...well okay lesually strolled the what 10 steps to the tv and pressed 'on' and having read a small review thing saying that jason lee himself is watchable enough however it was basically a miss but i tell ya for me it was a hit, i will confess im rather biased cos i love the man, from his work with kevin smith i just think his sooooo great, just view a cross section of his movies- almost famous, vanilla sky, dogma, chasing amy, mallrats (his first incantation for me), mumford, jay and silent bob strike back, that movie that i saw once on five years and YEARS ago with david schwimmer where his a writer or something, and likes the same girl as david maybe... ANYWAY yeah he does a lot of comedy but he is so much more- que the scene in chasing amy when his sat on the step outside his flat with ben affleck (who has never been as good as he is with smith, apart from when his with damon- you SO said it the team america way didnt you! :) and he does the quitened sadness- ive only seen that movie once ages ago and you know i think i might pinch it off my bro and watch it again tonight. and you should also view dogma, it might be on the dvd as an extra but i found it on the website- the full length (its cut and edited in the movie) scene where his giving his evil is an abstract, its a human construct speech, which hello kevin- right on the money! its one of my lameass quotes that i can do from movies- im sooo bad at it, i cant remember hardly any decent, important shit but give me a movie or a show or a person and if ive seen it or know them chances are i can give you some kind of a quote about them or said by them!! im such a dork i tell ya! so yes, the difference is just its longer and towards the end his voice goes deeper and all demonic and whatnot and it is just really good- shows his angry, shouty, bad side you know. so yes view all his stuff, him being him you can usually find at least one bit that is just class- well noone stalks me, so i drink!! :) ...i am Frank, and Frank must go, i good you bid evening (i just LOVE the look he does then), infact just that whole scene and i really like the line in that of -you will never know the exquist pain of the guy who goes home alone, cos without the bitter baby the sweet aint as sweet! i just love the whole sweet and sour thing- in fact the movie (im onto vanilla sky now by the way folkes- come on keep up!) inspired me to write quite a few poems with its various themes and quotes, even though im really rather hating the cruise now, but the cruze is good and lee of course and miss cameron aint bad nor is mister cameron....and its got the guy from saw (i KNEW i recognised him) doing a bit i love in it- which one/colour david?! WHICH ONE?!?!?!)
but yes back to the beginning we go- my name is earl, the latest version of lee- good, good stuff, and my 2 brothers and dad where watching it with me and although you know i didnt hold a feed back group at the end with poles and pie charts and everything i think it was liked all round. its very flashbacky but i really didnt mind- youve got lee with his voice over thredding through it all so it keeps it together and its got the cherleader girl whos already brought un it from not another teen movie in it as his wife- jamie something i think and his brother in it is so so familiar- i can even see him- being mean but i cant for the life of me think what the movie is or show or whatever- i want to say its teen movie too, or with chris evans anyway but i really dont think it is...cos i cant think where his mean in that....o shit man yeah his in butterfly effect (actually not that bad-ill do a post actually another time cos i have a shed load of issues and points and crap with that) AND his been in a load of kevin smith movies with jason before- like the guy in mallrats who cant see the sailboat :) but enough of that back to jasy boy- ooo jason x is on four tonight actually maybe the jason lee night will have to keep to tomorrow....
but yeah in conclusion id say tune in next week- 21houndred hours on channel four friday night (tell all your gang your hanging in this time with earl cos he rocks more than they ever could cos there so lame and they dont have no moustaches...ooo lightbulb!) yeah its funny, its got jason lee and its got such a lovely little moral, and ive just realised ive done that thing where your thinking about something and then you ask whoever your with a question related to what your thinking and their like whatnow?! what the hell you on about woman!? so what IS the deal with earl you ask- well earl is a guy, and he has a wife (who he meet drunk and ended up marrying in vegas and discovered next day that shes got a 6 month old bun in that oven of hers!) and 2 kids (neither his- the second he thought was him- named it earl jr and it came out a different colour- its the crab mans- watch it and youd know), he buys a scratch card and wins 10,000 or was it 100,000 anyho there was a fair few 0's there in excitment he runs into the middle of the road (as you do cos when your rich your invinsiable you know- but the cheque wasnt cashed yet so que the old lady) and gets hit by a car, his wife then divorces him to be with the crab man and thus earl, recovering from his injuries in hospital and doped up to his eyeballs discovers chicken karma with a little helping hand from one carson dala (of american trl live fame- so rubbish compared to british one for one reason alone- no zane boy!! boo :) and so he realises his life is crap because his done crap things, but if he does good things then his life will be good all with the help of a little thing called karma otherwise, as he puts it life is going to kill him! (go on, just call me the quote lady and laugh and point!!) so he draws up a rather long, mind how long would mine be.... list of bad things his done in his life that he needs to somehow put right so that he can cross them off his list- from being a litterbug (i havent heard that word in too long :) to picking on a kid at school mercelessly, to pissing in a police car and so on- so get the lights, camera, action and go lee picking up a load of litter and woohoo finding his missing scratch card! karma is that quick in its rewards...and its punishments- when he goes to help the kid he picks on- decieding he needs to get him laid- give him a little pleasure for all the pain he discovers no amount of lady lumps or indeed bumps are going to do the trick as the guy is gay so he runs away! and there it is- just like a waaaay too spicy chicken karma coming back at you to make you regret it!! his wife breaks in, trashes the joint and attacks him with the phone so he goes back and its help the guy take 2 and he takes him to a gay bar and im getting that that is going to be the basis of this show- a feel good, heart warming kind of thing with some laughs along the way, and im all for it and if his going to be doing what 2 things an episode it was a hell of a long list so heres to a hell of a lot of series!! WE LOVE YOU EARL!! (though i do have to say that really he should be doing good things just to do good things not to get good things is return- but shhh you woman!!...)
and now it doesnt even matter that you missed the first one- cos its pretty much ALL there :) you love me for my thouraness and attention to detail really! after all god is in the detail by all accounts! so you can just start watching next week and itll be like you never missed nothing :) so dont forget
FRIDAYS CHANNEL 4 AT 10pm- MY NAME IS EARL miss it and ill come and knock your block off- I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!!!.....................

give me a w give me a o, an another, give me a ho and an o....

woohoo, okay with a little help from my daddy and the dell website ive managed to download the bits and bobs i needed that where making my time upon the computer a deafeningly silent thing, as i had no sound card by all accounts, or it wasnt working anyway, since before i wiped it actually. but anyway yes its all back, holly can now listen to music and the lovely mrs/miss?? lumley greeted me upon my arrival onto this here thing just then, which i havent heard in sooo long :) it was lovely to hear once again :) and ive got my little random battry swirls and whatnot when i listen to music, for ages it would play the music but say page can not be found instead of the swirl things, and im glad there back cos i do love them so...though i fear now im sure to be even less productive once again....

describe what beauty means to you

if i remember correctly i read once in an interview that someone (the interviewie) asked the actor johnny depp that once to which he replied....o no wait shit man it wasnt beauty they asked what 'hot' was to him...or maybe it was 'beauty' anyway he said that once robert downey jr had said that 'to be hot was to grow old' well its kinda crap now but my link WAS going to be- well if anyone asks me that- 'whats beauty to you?' (o you know when im rich and famous as a world class and successfull multi award winning photographer, actress, poet, director, writer, producer, etc :) - i dont ask for much!! anyway yes they ask once again miss roach (or you know mrs whatever hot thing im married to by then : p )

what is beauty to you?

i will reply-

what is beauty to me? beauty is simply- the actors scarlett johannson sat on a roof talking to bryan greenberg! (then me being me i will go into the long version of the story) i had been having a disscusion with my friend over porn! if it was the lowest there was and all, especially for a successful actor to go into porn, anyway then the day after i watched 'the prefect score' and in one scene their on a roof talking about what they want to do with their life-their in the process of stealing the SAT papers so its all about getting hold of a future you want anyway greenbergs character matty says " i was thinking someday i might wanna be an actor" to which johannson as francesca replys with "as opposed to solving world hunger or curing a terminal disease? (cos o how they love to get at themselves those actor types! :) and she continues) i would run a no-kill animal shelter (as opposed to those shelters that do kill!?...). or....i'd just be a mom. not just a mother. i would be a real mom, who cared more about the title of parent than the one on her business card. or porn" !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) and the beauty is in the fact that everything just comes together- its out there and the universe just brings it all in and together with perfect timing, everything is connected and linked to everything else :)

okay maybe i am being rather over dramatic and drama queeny (i so should be an actress!) but i just really did feel it when she said those lines i was just smiling the biggest smile!

so yes that is beauty to me- the actor scarlett johannson on a roof talking to bryan greenberg :)

so what is beauty to you?!................

grade D (C at best)...could do better

initial idea good, with good resources but the follow through a touch sloppy and could be improved. i dont do grades for movies but if i did (ha it sounds like those carlsburg ads) that is most likely how id go for 'the (not so) perfect score' that i just watched on dvd- i wanted to see this at the movies but odeon being odeon pulled it after like a week so i missed it, and ive been meaning to buy it on dvd but have been waiting for a suitablely slightly low price- im talking single figures here people and so anyway it is now in my posession.
i knew scarlett johannson and chris evans (of the non spectucle wearing variety) were in it- im a fan of hers and he wasnt bad in 'not another teen movie' ..... :) you know i want to watch that now!.... back to the point i go! so they were insentives and bryan greenberg was good in it and to my delight i discovered matthew lilard was chris' older (at the beginning dumbass) brother (but he seems to gain some iq points as his limited role progresses)- sadly not in it nearly enough and the dumbassness at the beginning is a bit 'typical funny man lilard' but i love him anyway :) but yes the movie was a bit of a let down for me, i actually did out loud, on my own in the dark say 'this is pretty crap' but there where dips (..well hips...) of betterness and the stoner guy roy was not my friend way before we meet him! as the voice over i was like what the fuck! (i thought it was evans doing it at first) and although he was meant to be the comical relief i was not laughing more than the ocassional ones he did give me (though the actual actor guy does seem so better and i do quite love the fact in his audition tape he did it holding this giant sandwich which he eat so you couldnt understand anything he was saying apparently- so should of been an extra!), it was a bit predictable with the ending and of course the stoner is actually really smart- he can so do math and all that shit but then so was the breakfast club really and the such, which by the guys own admission the movie so borrows from and tries to be, with a modern twist- cue scarletts panty scene, ala molly ringwold, what can i say the girl likes the flash her pants! :) but that aside on the making of thing the guy- which hello so looks like an older will young!! (with an only slightly smaller chin) said they were just trying to make someones favourite movie, it wasnt about demographics and all that just as long as people could relate, which hell yeah i so relate to breaking in and doing a little thiever :) i SO love that word! and stealing the SAT papers! no but i get his drift- with the characters just trying to be the best that they can be and succsed in a society that is all about putting them down and testing them blah blah anyway- by the way yeah thats the basis of the movie- and when i was saying to myself in my room that it wasnt that good i followed it with -"'cheaters' is so better"- which also was about bunch of kids cheating (could you guess from the title!?...)- with the help of a teacher though, but yeah i definately prefered 'cheaters' but 'the prefect score' wasnt without its positive points, it just wasnt without its negatives- it could of been a really good movie, literally a modern day breakfast club or sixteen candles or whatever with a young cast at its center but it just falls that little bit short, but hey maybe it wasnt aiming that high in the first place!
in all i wouldnt say dont waste your time watching it id just say rent it (or even better borrow it- youve got to look after the pennies you know! and hell even copy it) rather than buy it.
o but i do have to say there was one moment in this movie that was just so much more than a movie- i will explain in another post but it just, it really was a beautiful moment, i just smiled my ass off when the lines where said and had to pause it, put the subtitles on, turn the light on grab a pen and paper and copy down to tell you marshall, so im going to post it on here. holly may be being a bit of a drama queen here but it just really was a wonderful thing and i think i will just forever smile in regards to it (or at least i hope i will), so i guess i must thank miss scarlett, and mister greenberg (and guy who wrote it who ive totally forgotten sorry :)
but yes end of review

an apple a day keeps the doctor away

im getting quite excited i got the magazine nylon and it had an interview with the american singer FIONA APPLE in it. ive never really know anything about her, i remember years and years ago vaugley, incrediably vaguly seeing one of her videos on mtv, infact i dont remember the song or anything about the video apart from the fact she lit a match with her mouth-like on her teeth and possibly put it out in her mouth, anyway it meant nothing really, never knew the name or anything then she did the beautiful cover of a paul mccartney/john lennon song on the soundtrack of 'pleasentville' which i just loved and then i got her 2 albums pretty much straight after each other and first time i dont think i was majorly keen but i gotta tell ya i love the stuff now. ANYWAY!! shes got a new album out which im getting quite yeyie about :) after (thanks to nylon i have discovered) a 6 year gap, due to problems with sony (ooo is that just a hint of a boycott in the air :) and i LOOOOVE the fact that when her die hard fans found out that sony wouldnt realse her album cos they didnt like the songs- no radio friendly ones they(they called themselves 'free fiona') sent 1,500 apples to sony, slightly corny but i love it- why use words when you can say it with apples hey?! :) and i do love apples (only granny smiths mind!)
anyway yes im sure the album will be just as great as her previous 2, ive already read the lyrics off this here internet thingmebobin and there once again pretty much knockout stuff, go go fiona with your apples, which actually ive discovered, once again hats off to nylon :) that she's done a kt tunstall before kt tunstall did it! her name isnt mrs fiona apple its mrs fiona apple maggart-mcafee so qwynie and chris werent the only ones that love fruit THAT much it would seem :)
o and also another yey yey for her shes vegan :) woowoo come on you vegans :)
okay and miss mcafee information over nooooooooow! :)

the wanderer returns

and so she does, well my computers been into its rebirth for a little while now, though its falling off the wagon a bit still but i have faith that that will be sorted soon hopefully.......

the end is nigh people

for every beginning there is an end they say and it is to be so today- holly is to try once again to reformat her computer and wipe it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall away and start again and hopefully it wont be demented anymore!! and if there is a virus (which im pretty sure there is!) it will go bye bye, so heres hoping that works, i have faith though...
so there WILL be an end but then it will, just like the man jc be reborn again!! ooo sudden religiousness there, with no doubt blasformy undertones plastered all over it!! maybe i should rename it from frank to jc, ha ha maybe jc frank, the time traveling machine!! :) thats his full name! (well minus the jc bit...unless i do change it....and be damned to hell for ever more!!!....
well im off to finish playing on the tinternet so i can get on with the formating-cross your fingers for me and wish me luck, i could well need it!.....
